Misundersawed

11/1/06We're officially closed to celebrate the
Day of the Dead--which will be a national holiday soon enough. Also, we didn't spend the past several days raving about horror films just to spend Halloween in our office.
Here's something to get you through the post-holiday depression, though. Someone was kind enough
to ask if we had thoughts on
Saw III. Sadly, the film is only entertaining as Leftist idiocy. There's a father who's full of anger because of the lenient justice system that freed the creep who killed his daughter. Scheming psycho Jigsaw then gives the grieving dad a choice: He can either save the lives of the judge, the murderer, and a witness who wouldn't testify--or he can watch them die grisly deaths.
SPOILER: At the end of the movie, we learn that Jigsaw is quite the humanitarian. It turns out that he's only been committing these sadistic homicides so that we can learn about the futility of vengeance. This is the same lunatic that would rig your genitalia to a car battery if he didn't like your parallel parking. Now he's lecturing us on how we should trust our judicial system to do what's right. We'd rather watch a
Friday the 13th film written by Maggie Gallagher.
Daily postings resume tomorrow.
