2/1/07: Seryoga: “1000000$” (2006)Deadlines loom, so we’re farming out today’s entry to—well, ourselves. Again. Here’s
a short article about Russian rapper Seryoga and his perfectly capitalistic ways. Thanks to Ronald Reagan, we don’t speak Russian. We weren’t really sure that Seryoga wasn’t laying down rhymes about death to decadent Americans. We really got concerned when
this video for “1000000$” invoked the oil industry. Then we got to the part where Seryoga gives an approving thumbs-up to a particularly well-oiled lady. We accept him, one of us.
