We’re kind of optimistic about director Sam Raimi’s upcoming return to horror with
Drag Me to Hell—despite
the PG-13 rating and uninspired casting. The most encouraging aspect,
though, is that Raimi seems to be paying another tribute to
Mr. Jacks from
Spider-Man 2.
We support any horror movie where an angelic banker is tormented by a
deadbeat old lady who can’t keep up her mortgage payments despite
having the power to summon demons from Hell. Poor ancient mystic woman
can’t pay her mortgage, but she can call up Satan to go get her a pizza
on a Friday night. That old bat isn’t even trying to meet her financial
obligations.
Here’s the
Drag Me to Hell trailer that reveals the plot, courtesy of the fine new
McBeardo.com. The site looks to be a great source for staying up to date on horrific trash. You won’t find much in the way of conservative politics, but you also won’t find any banal Leftist groupthink.
