First-Class Something

Over the weekend, the
New York Post’s Page Six column ran
this touching story about pop star Ciara and the individual first-class airline seats she buys for her two small dogs. The best part, though, is that Ciara was traveling with her dogs to New York City to do her part with the Do Something organization—dedicated to helping teens “find the cause [they] care about and get the facts so [they] can take action.” Ciara was part of
an education initiative, but Do Something, of course, also pursues lots of environmental concerns. Which reminds me that it’s been a little over a year since I met a young woman who was very excited to have just been hired by Do Something. She was looking forward to getting to work as soon as she came back to Manhattan from Paris, where she was flying to see Duran Duran for her 30th birthday.
